Water Fun

• If you go on vacation or travel rent a beach set

• For the first pool experiences we loved Swimways Sun Canopy floaties

• Don’t forget an umbrella or pop up tent to give baby some shade

SPF Essentials

• Try to use mineral (zinc & titanium) and avoid chemicals (avobenzone, homosalat, octocrylene)

• Slide sticks are great because they are portable and easy to apply

• Sunguard shirts and bucket hats help protect baby and possibly use less SPF

• Follow directions to reapply often, especially when playing with water

SPF Recommendations

• Maui

  There are 2 brands we love and use daily in summer. Maui Vera (can be found at natural grocers). And a small local brand we discovered while visiting, Little Hands.

• Babo

  They make lots of options that are mineral only. Some are a little to thick and pasty, so it might take a try or 2 to find the one for you.

• Supergoop!

  Really good options for mineral only, including sticks. But be sure to read the ingredients because several of their products have chemical SPF also.
