Checklist For Travel With Baby

So. Much. To. Think. About. We are here to help! The most important tip is, less is more. When you overpack you end up stressed about hauling it all. Then spend time organizing and searching. Only to realize you didn’t use half of what you brought.

Utilizing rent & delivery services whenever possible can help make this list much shorter.

The List

  • Portable baby monitor

  • Eating and bottling supplies (plus bib and snacks for the carry on)

  • Snacks that are easy to clean up, including extra for the flight so baby can chew during take off and landing

  • 3 sets of clothes for travel in case they have a blowout, spit up, or both!

  • Swimsuit, swim diaper, and SPF if there is water

  • Hygiene products including diaper cream

  • Minimal books and toys (exploring the destination will replace the need for toys, but I do suggest books for bedtime to help keep the routine familiar)

  • Travel stroller that is easy to break down for security, or a baby carrier instead if that works for you

  • Car seat

  • Portable pumps if needed

  • Want to leave all this gear behind? Consider renting the gear and have it setup at your destination.

What Not to Bring

  • Pack n play - rent it!

  • High chair - rent it!

  • Toys that take up space in your luggage

  • Diapers & wipes (bring enough for 24 hours, and have the rest delivered to your destination)

  • Too many clothes, especially if your destination has a W/D so baby can wear more than once
